Layering Patches
Hi Guys, We're using VE Ens Pro with VI Pro here and wanted to know, quite simply and noobishly... How does one layer individual patches within in VI Pro without creating separate instances inside the player. I know there is an easy way to do it, but I'm at a loss to figure it out. Thanks! jaime

Hi Jaimie,
Go to the "Advanced View" of VI PRO, you will see the SLOTS in the right upper half that let you stack sounds!
The Video Tutorials will be helpful there, and the manual is a good reference, so that you don´t miss any possibilities there (like "Slot Xfade").
The Slot Mixer below lets you adjust the volume and panning of each slot, and don´t forget that you can set the RANGE and Volume curves in the keyboard below for the selected slot (activate the funtion buttons right above the keyboard!).
Best,
Paul

Thanks Paul! I thought that was it, but I was afraid that I might only being playing one sample out of the group, and not all of them together. On another note...have you ever seen an Ensemble Pro License get eaten by Elicenser. I'm at a client and updating his software, etc... Only using one key at the moment, moving between a few machines, as he works with the rest of them in the other room. On two machines, I used Ensemble just fine, authorized Spectrasonics, checked some settings, etc. Then on this last machine, the license has disappeared. I have been running Elicenser maintenance and updating the ELD for new products/versions of Ensemble Instruments Pro and now his license is gone! It doesn't show in Elicenser and of course Ensemble says there is no license present. I installed latest Elicenser version, rebooted, the works. Ensemble Pro license (4) has vanished. Plugged in another key I know has a license on it and it worked just fine. Have you seen this before? Any suggestions?

Hi jhartwick,
Licenses do not vanish... In very rare cases a license can be stuck in a transfer, and every move of each license is always logged on the license servers.
Please contact me at
and include a screenshot of the eLCC with the key connected, and also tell me the details of your client, so I can investigate.
Best,
Paul
