Sibelius and Violins
I have a string quartet. i use for the 1. and 2. violin the solo violin (ch 1: violin 1 (solo violin)/ ch 2: violin 2 (solo violin) / ch 3: viola (solo viola)/ ch 4: cello (solo cello)). In sibelius you can indicate the channel and the sound (for this case strings.violin for both violins). you have not strings.violin1 and strings.violin2. now you can hear the sound of both violins but the vel x parameter do not work for the 2. violin. any idea why? grey

Hello grey!
Normally this shouldn't be any problem. It would be very unusual if it is only Velocity X-Fade that doesn't work correctly for Violin 2. Could it be that both instruments are playing on the same channel? Please check the following things in your setup:
- Did you reserve a program/channel for both Violins on the Sibelius/Manual Sound Sets page?
- Did you set up the channels for all loaded instruments in VE (Pro)?
- Are you sure that you have added the Solo Violin (and not Violin 2, which is an ensemble) instrument in Sibelius two times? If you are in doubt about that, you can add the Solo Violin one more time and cut and paste the content from the old staff to the new one.
- If you have fiddled about with channels, Sound IDs or output ports in the Sibelius mixer, please reset all channels to output port (Auto).I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Andi
