  • Vienna Chamber Strings Not Working w/ Pro Tools 10 on MAC

Hello All, I've been trying to get Vienna Chamber Strings to work with my new Pro Tools 10 and Mountain Lion Operating System for a few days now. Macbook Pro OS 10.8.2 (latest updates) 10 GB RAM 500 GB SSD Hard Drive I had it working a few days ago for one session and I was able to record one song with it and it sounded amazing! Unfortunately all weekend I have been unable to open any ProTools session that contains a track where I utilized the Vienna Instruments (Chamber Strings) and it seems to be forcing a shutdown of the program now when I try to open Pro Tools 10. I uninstalled the entire Chamber Strings I & II and performed a reinstall. Everything seemed to download and install perfectly but now I don't even see a Vienna Instrument in my instrument list inside the pro tools plug in area where it was before. I'm also currently unable to open any session that I utilized the Vienna Instruments in prior to performing the reinstall. It seemed like everything went well with the installation process this second time around but it's definitely not working. I uninstalled it initially because it seemed like something was corrupt? The reinstall of all 22GB of the library doesn't seem like it worked at all. I've spent so many hours trying to figure this out and am really frustrated with it at this point. I teach computers so I'm fairly good with technology but this one's got me stumped. Any thoughts on what might be the issue here? I'm really trying to get to the music making part but this has been holding me up for days.

    1. Have you d/l and installed the latest Vienna Instrument software
    2. have you d/l and installed the latest eLicenser software (from steinberg.net)?
    3. Have you run Directory Manager?
