  • Percussion patch 11 : bug and/or need help?

    Hello,

I open in VIPro the patch 11Drums-Perc_set_dry from 80 Processed Percussion /02 Drums + Percussion

the release note on the tom A3 give a snare sound?

the release note of the snare D4 is ok but the release note of the snare C4 is strange Why?

2.is it possible to change the pan of a single percussion instrument in a percussion patch for exemple the C5/D5 tambourine?

    best regards

    Dup

  • Hello Dup,

    1. Oops, you are right - thank you for reporting, this is indeed a mapping error!

We will correct this with a Library Update as soon as possible.

    2. I am afraid it is not possible to alter the Pan setting of an individual sample within a Patch.

To do that, you would have to use another instance of VI Pro, load the same Patch, play only the tamburine and set the Pan to your liking

    Best, Marnix

Ok but I must also create a new track in the sequencer.

I tried to bypass this problem in using another cell with the same patch (but  different pan) and use keyswitch but it's

ok only with sample wthat has no release sample. The problem is that the release sample doen't not remember and  play with the keyswitch selected with the note on of that instrument ,but with the setting of the last keyswitch selected:

Something can be improve in this sense : percussion patches with a lot of instrument should have more flexible choice like the "pan" and volume..

    Thanks for your answer

    best regards

    Hello,

Can you explain where is the library updtae : I only see: A percussion Library Libray update 2010-11-23 and the bug date from near one year ago!!!

Or explain me what we can expect from "as soon as possible"? 😉

    best regards

    Dup

  • Hi Dup,

"as soon as possible" means that we will get to this error that went unnoticed for more than a year as soon as there is an opportunity.

One work-around is to disable the Release sample for this specific note, and maybe add a little more reverb.

Or use the unprocessed Percussion for this exact same note.

    Thanks for your patience,

    Paul
