  • VEP Server: Remove Entries From Files Menu - Recent List?

    Possible? Procedure?

    TIA,

    ---JC

  • I don't think it can be done.... or the method is less than obvious.

  • Bummer. I mean, It's stored in the registry. But--->Paul, devs? Feature Request. This is a little detail that is really useful.

    ---JC

  • Hello JC,

It´s on the list, but not a super-top priority. After all, it has been requested ONCE in 4 years, IIRC.

    Hope you understand.

    Best,

    Paul

  • I know it's a tiny thing. Perhaps it might take the programmer only 5 minutes to do. :D

What happens is that I save projects with -very- similar names and then forget which one is the tip version. Since it takes a long time to load a big project, if I select the wrong one... there goes another coffee break!

    Cheers,

    ---JC

  • Hi Suntower,

Choosing not_very_similar_names is also an option for now [:)]

  • You can do it by editing the ini file:

    1. Close VEP.

    2. Open up your ini file located at: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VSL\Vienna Ensemble Pro.ini

3.Find and delete any lines that say recentFileList, in the [General] section for .viframe files, and under the [server] section for .mframe files.

    4. Start VEP. Recent files list should now be cleared.

  • Martin, is there a similar procedure for the Mac?

  • Yes, you just have to open up the corresponding plist file on mac, which you'll find at:

    ~/Library/Preferences/at.co.vsl.Vienna Ensemble Pro.plist

    Then delete the recentFileList key.

  • I don't want to get rid of ALL the entries, just some of them.

  • Then just delete the desired values inside that key.
