Im really struggling with this volume automation issue with logic/ensemble pro, im confused with all the options with environment and other mapping alternatives and ive got a simple idea, which works for me.
It means i can easily do volume automation within logic without creating auxes for each track.
simply put a gain plugin at the end of the insert effect section on each track, after compression etc and before the bypassed I/O plugin. Then use the 'gain' parameter in the automation lanes to control volume.
Im aware that this probably wont work for folks with multitimbral instruments inserted into VEpro, but for someone like me who is doing smaller arrangements and using audio tracks, its a good workaround
