  • VE-Pro / Omnisphere crash

    Hi,

    I use to open Omnisphere instance in VE-Pro but I just got an issue. VE-Pro with 2 VSTi (Engine & Omnisphere). When clicking on "Multi" menu in Omnisphere, VE-Pro crashes.

    I checked with a standalone session, launching VE-Pro and loading same project, everything's fine, I can go to Omnisphere's Multi menu. I saved the project again, relaunched VE-Pro connected to Cubase6 via network and reopened the project. Clicking Omnisphere "Multi" menu makes the app crashes again and again. All other Omnisphere menus work ok, Multi is the only one I can't use, well it's a main menu :-(

    This never occured before, anyone who experienced this?


  • I can't reproduce this here. Are you using the latest versions of all your software (both VSL and third party)? Also, are you on Windows or OS X?


  • Yes, latest versions used for both.Clicking Multi caused crash. Trying to save Omnisphere multi did the same.

    I had to finally close and cancel Omnisphere instance, load new Omnisphere again and load presets. It worked then... So maybe some Omnisphere bug. BTW I wonder if they're still alive, not any update since about one year at Spectrasonics...

  • I use Omnisphere myself, but I can't reproduce this here. Did you do anything special before the crash occured?

    Please send the crash dump to  with as many additional information as possible (OS, CPU, RAM size, audio system, driver and software versions etc.). VSL's software engineers will look at it ASAP.

  • I use Omnisphere almost daily so it is definitely something more local to your setup/machine.  Perhaps as Dietz said, it's best to put in a real support ticket for this one.

    I supplied one, looks like the issue concerns Omnisphere, not related to VE pro. I got a reply from Spectrasonics support who asked me for app error Windows infos, I sent the files. I'll let you know about. Issue's not a daily one. I tried to save twice yesterday, first one caused a crash, 2nd one worked. Since I got this issue, I don't save Omnisphere multis so often as I'm saving VE pro projects aside...
