Convert VI to VI Pro in Sibelius 6...

Hi! The function for converting a project to Vienna Instruments Pro is not working for me. It does not load any samples at all. I've read all the manuals but with no results. Hopefully there is something that I am missing. Could you guys please tell me what to do? Best, Ruben.

Hello Ruben!

You can only convert a saved project to a VI Pro project. So if you want to convert your current project, but haven't saved it as a VIFrame yet, save it first and then open it for conversion.

Hi Andi!

Well thats the problem. I've done that, and it only loads the right names in VI Ensemble mixer but no samples.

1. I choose file -> Convert Project to Vienna Instruments Pro...
2. A window pops up letting me choose to save or not, I select yes.
3. Name the file whatever, and it saves a file with .viframe64 extension.
4. Repeat step 1.
5. Select Don't Save.
6. Select the file from 3. and hit open.
7. VI Ensemble shows: Loading project... with a loading symbol.
8. VI Ensemble loaded with the right amount of tracks with my custom naming.
9. But no content or samples are loaded when I choose a instrument. It loads VI Ensemble Pro, but no thing but A1 display. (And I don't even like boybands...)

It seems you have stumbled upon a bug in the latest software versions. We will fix this problem as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvinience that this may cause.

I just updated to VI pro, and VEPRO 5,

and experience the same problem:

convert does replace the VI's to VI pro but they are all empty  :-(

This has already been fixed. Have you updated to the latest software versions of VI, VI Pro and VE Pro? They can be downloaded here:
