Hi all.
I have some trouble here since the player software update. I have a lots of interrupts, clips and glitches. I usually use a buffer size of 256 with my RME HDSPe AIO Card. In this moment I have 6 vienna instruments open within a arrangement I was working on before the update was available. I am forced to change the buffer size to 512 and I still have interrupts and clips. I have really no idea what happened. My system is selfbuiled and it's on a high level with its components. BIOS, chipsetdrivers, driver for the HDSPe are up to date. Maybe anyone can help.
System:
Board: Intel DX79SI
CPU: i7 3930K
RAM: 32 GB
Win 7 64-Bit
System HDD: Raptor U:10.000
THX in advance

Big problem since Update

Hi Christian,
That´s very strange. Are you using Vienna Ensemble as a host or VI only?
Which software versions are you using, in which sequencer (version)?
EDIT: And as this seems to be PART of a bigger arrangement: What else is in this arrangement?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul. First, thx for reply. I use VI only and that in the latest version. My host is Cubase 6 with the version 6.07. I have already bought Cubase 6.5 but didn't install yet. The arrangement contains 6 VI instruments. Chellos, violins, Basses with different articulations like, staccato, detache etc. It also contains 1 Eastwest player instance with violas and one native plugin, the Kontakt 5 Player with the Berlin Concert Grand Piano. That's all. I had a break of two weeks on that arrangemet and updated Cubase to the version 6.07 and the VI to the latest version. From that point on the trouble appears. The arrangement is in the 32-Bit Version of Cubase, but I think that should be no problem and 4 GB of my 32 GB RAM are enough to handle that. Yesterday I used the DPC Latency Checker to check if some driver misbehave, but everything ssems to be ok. Well, I know, it's hard to find in the digital world a solution for problems like that. Maybe Cubase, maybe VI, maybe the shitty summer in Berlin :) Before the update there really was no problem with the arrangement. I had no latency, no interrupts or clicks with a buffersize of 256. Well, today I was forced to chnage the buffersize to 1024. That's really strange, because my system is really good and fast and should easy handle it. I have no idea. Aaaaarrrr, I don't know how to make breaks in my writing. Enter doesn't work, Enter + Shift doesn't work. Sorry. Cheers Christian

Hi Christian,
you can always roll back to the previous VI version, it´s available in the archive.
Regarding the Forum, check this thread.
Sorry about the summer in Berlin..... Vienna was great [;)]
