  • VEPro5 windows & DP?

    hi,

I'm new with VEPro5 and getting used to it. When I set up a new DP session, I get a total of VEPro5-related windows that open:

(1.) The VEPro5 64-bit Server window that opens when I start VEPro5 Server *before* opening DP,

(2.&3.) The Server Interface and Mixer windows that open after I have opened an instance of VEPro5 in DP,

(4.) The Event window that opens after I have instantiated a VEPro Event.

Now, referreing to windows being "closed" (Red button) or windows being "docked" (Yellow button), it seems like closing (2.) Server Interface will unload the VI (Kontakt) within my VEPro5 instance, while closing (1.) will unload my entire VEPro5 instance? So my question would be; which of these 4 windows can be; closed, docked, or must be left open?

    thanks,

    willie myers

  • Willie,

    1) Never close this window, leave it open or dock it.

    2) Can be closed because it's still present in your DAW and will reopen at the click of a button.

    3) If 3 is the Mixer Dock it or leave it open.

    4) Can be closed as if it were 2.

Hope this helps, and hope memory serves me correctly. There indeed are windows in VEP 5.
