    Hi everybody,

    I'm finishing a CD project. I'm using Vienna Suite for mastering with WaveBurner (Logic Studio). I'm quite frustrated with Vienna Suite plugins strange behavior. Bugs exemples:

    • Frequently lost of plugin's parameters (Multiband, in particular) when switching from one sequence (track) to another or when starting playback.
    • Analyser stops to show frequencies when changing track.
    • Master equaliser never show spectral view
    • etc.

    Of course, I can use a DAW (like Logic) as a mastering tool, but WaveBurner seems much more suitable to me.

    Did anyone find a way to avoid these issues?

    Is Vienna team already aware of these bugs?

    Hi,

    I also find this behaviour when using the Vienna EQs in Waveburner. The EQs seem to lose their settings when switching regions, for example.

    Maybe they're not suitable for Waveburner, or is there a solution?

    Hi Giannis,

    No I didn't find any solution. And I didn't receive any response neither. 

    I switched to Logic 9 for mastering tasks. I used Wave Burner only on final stage (splitting regions and burning).

    Hi all,

    sorry to hear about your troubles. I will make VSL's software engineers aware of the problem, but it seems as WaveBurner is a legacy product (no updates since three years, AFAICS) with quite some peculiarities of its own, so it might very well be that there are only workarounds, no real solutions.

    The biggest "pecularities" would be your self charging the fault on other software. Three years isn't "legacy", maybe you should consider your own competence as "legacy"?

    Hi Giannis,

    Maybe see WaveBurner as a "legacy software" is a little bit exaggerated. But to be honest, I must say that there was no minor update for a long time (at least 18 months). I've heard that WaveBurner would be integrated directly into Logic Pro (10). But this is only rumors and we are always desperately waiting for a major update of the entire Logic Studio. Hope it will be soon!
