VSTis in MIR-Pro

In short: Yes, and yes. :-) And you can use "raw" audio inputs, too.
Just be aware that any 3rd party intrument (or audio input) obviously can't make use of the tailor-made Instrument Profiles that are available for all Vienna Instruments (... which are the results of years of painstaking measurements), but will have to use so-called General Purpose-profiles with less "knowledge" about the signal.

Dietz. Many thanks indeed.I'll be wading through the manual. Thanks for the web address. This thread is one I was about to start myself having recently stumbled across MIR on visiting this site after an absence. I have to freely admit that I do not possess any VSL libs--yet-- but I do use a number of 3rd party orchestral libraries with Cubase as my PC DAW. I love the concept of MIR but for the moment hesitate at buying into VSL to reap the benefits of MIR--my dilemma! Do VSL offer any educational discounts? Kind regards, Patrick
