I will consider the string releases. I had been thinking that they were too long and potentially drowning as it really is a piano piece in this version. I'll start with the reverb, move from there, and see what I like.

And, Paul, I definitely do hear that more-richly-orchestrated-version coming from this same music. In fact, maybe several versions, which I do want to try at some point. Oh, to have more time...

GarageBand's!

I noticed when I first purchased iLife (w/GarageBand) I noticed that I really liked the piano over anything that I already had. (Except my real baby grand, but it ain't MIDI compatible... yet. [;)] ). I also noticed that GB's instruments are really EXS variants. I put out a request on the OSXAudio forum for anyone to convert the piano, and a few days later, I got an email with the EXS file. Pretty good for a $50 product. This piano is well worth the price of iLife to me! [:)]

hey carlos... Nice song indeed. the best part starts at 00:54 when the piano plays fortissimo on three notes starting with the D'iss. The tunes after 00:54 is really good. The whole song is magnificent and has a nice mood.

Angels Bring Her Home is very beautiful...did you have any reverb on the strings? I love the glockenspiel at the end if that's what it is.

Morning Fanfare is good, the beggining is the best. also the strings playing high.

In Abraham Weeps, is that a ehru playing? from the rare instruments library?

The Country is the best of all, I love the pizzicato strings playing, what are those? double basses?

Where is that guitar from in Street Wise?

Carlos, if you can play(improvise) like that without problems I suggest you play as a pianist on a boat, cafe or some jazz club. The only "problem" would be that they are requesting certain songs to be played...

Can you read notes well enough to play songs without so much practice?

Sorry, I don't take requests. (I've always had to say that. [:D] ) I just don't have that kind of chops. My note reading is slow. Live work would not suit me well at all.

I am more curious for the recorded stuff, because almost all the stuff you heard was improvised, either broken into parts or layered improvs. Morning Fanfare and Street Wise were the closest to being more "constructed".

So... would you by this for 99¢ (U.S.) ? Or license this for your show? I guess that is the nature of my question.

I think people would buy the cd carlos. But it's hard to sell that kind of thing if your not into pop and making a hit song etc. Which is the key to alot of sales....a hit song. But I can't see why people wouldn't buy a cd with moods by Carlos De La Rosa. It's easier for non famous people to make money on things like this because it won't be so much illegal copying and downloading.
