HI,
I am a new member and thanks for allowing me to be a part of this. Before I posted this question, research was done on Pro Tools forum to see if someone perhaps posted my question before. Seems the only thing addressed was Pro Tools 8.
Recently I updated to Pro Tools 10 and just purchased VEP5. My system consists of an I5 processor, 24 gig of Ram and my internal drives a SSD on a Windows 7 OS. Using just 1 computer.
With the amount of Plugins I have. LASS, EW strings and Brass, Omnisphere, etc... I cannot get through 1 session of composing cues with only 5 or 6 tracks created and pro tools crashes because of the 32 bit platform.
What is the proper way to get VEP5 working correctly within Pro Tools 10. Does anyone have a step by step guide or video perhaps that is out there that could show me. I also will go ahead and post this on the Avid forum. Hoping that if properly set up my computer will not crash as much with the available ram.
Currently I create an instrument track then add the insert ( Kontakt to host La scoring strings ) then create an audio track and bus it property so that I can disable the Instrument track after recording to save on resources.
appreciate anyone's help and patience.
I am looking forward to having fun with VEP and purchasing more items.
Ric
