    From the forum archives, I see that last December the following bug was confirmed: using the Space bar to play or stop Pro Tools from the VE Pro server does not work when both programs are on the same computer. 

    I'm having the same issue, but it's with Logic 9.1.7. The menu item works, the transport triangle button works, but space bar doesn't work. Also, remotely on a separate computer, space bar DOES start or stop Logic. 

    Is this bug confirmed for Logic as well as PT? Many thanks.

    It should work for both Logic and PT these days. Are you using the latest version of VE Pro? Also make sure that you haven't mapped transport start/stop to another key as space bar in Logic/PT, or the feature will not work.

    Note that at times a plugin window may have taken keyboard focus, hence eating the space bar press. Click the main VE Pro instance window to ensure focus in that case.

    Thanks Karel. It was because of a third party software called SteerMouse. It's indispensible with Logic, as I can control numerous functions with the multi-button mouse. But now I realize that it will not allow the pass-through of the space bar to the VSL Server.
