Plug-in not licensed to run
Hello everyone, I use Logic 9 and VI Pro and everything was working fine until yesterday. Then suddenly I created a new track, opened a VI Pro and it tells me that "this Plug-in not licensed to run, check if the dongle is inserted". Obviously the dongle is inserted and its red light is on. And after the message, Logic crashes. Any leads? Thanks

Hello Tommy,
When you open the eLicenser Control Center, do you see the key and the license on it?
Also, please make sure that you are using the latest version of all VSL Software and the eLicenser Control Center!
Best,
Paul

Hi Paul, I downloaded the latest eLCC software. I'm attaching a link of what I see (my eLCC manager window and the window when I try to open VI Pro standalone). Also, when I registered my Vienna Key I registered the number above USB eLicenser. What's the difference with the Soft-eLicenser (SeL)? http://www.tommyermolli.net/screen.png Thanks, Tommy

Hi Tommy,
It seems like there simply is no VI PRO license on this key. You have not downloaded the permanent license for VI PRO yet.
The activation codes were sent to you right after your purchase on 6th of March (check your Mailbox)... you have probably been running on your demo licenses contained on your key.
The difference to the soft eLicenser is that the ViennaKey is actually a Hardware key....
Best,
Paul

Thanks again Paul! It seems like I'm still pretty ignorant on some matters :) I'll study harder! Tommy
