  • A way to have Xfade to respond in a reverse values with pitch bend

Hi, a like to use pitch bend sometimes for a special fx , usually in the up direction.

When I use the pich bend I like to the xfade to change as well in the down direction, So when pitch bend is up, the patch playes a lower velocity hence a softer tamber, if xfade is not possible , is there another way , Most imposrtant, when pitch bend is in the up value, velocity, volume needs to be in the negative value .

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

  • You can do what you want, but you won't like the results. The best solution is:

    1. Right click the Expression sliver, and move the pitch wheel
    2. Click Advanced
    3. Click Control Map
    4. Click Expression
    5. Click Invert

Obviously there are some downsides to doing what you want, but if you can live with those...

  • Thank you for the direction,

Now is there a way to assign the xfade to both the pitch bend whel and cc2, that way I when I use a cc2 controler by it self I control xfade, and when pitch bending xfade it controled as well ? and in the invert diection,

If not , Expression will do.

    thank you

  • Hi,

You can only assign one MIDI CC controller to a slider or controller in VI (PRO).
