i have 4 instances of VEP 64 bit running 5-8 instances of VIP each (VSL Special Edition and Epic Orch) with Digital Performer on a Mac Pro.
this configuration has worked without issue for several months.
two days ago it started crashing, usually the type crash with the downward screen wipe and the message instructing you to cycle the power on the computer. i haven't downloaded any new software or updates in the last few weeks.
it seems to only crash with this combination of DP file (my orchestral template) and this (i guess it's called) metaframe.
i loaded the DP sequence into a new file, reloaded and reconncted the metaframe and resaved but eventually that froze the computer as well (usually without the wipe).
i've put a fair amount of work into the programming and tweaking of the VEP and VIP programs/samples so i don't want to have to reprogram from scratch.
any suggestions?
