  • updating slave computer to match host computer

I Finally have a streaming computer - the fact that I've updated since my first purchase is throwing a wrench in things I must be missing something big. My licenser will allow my slave computer to run VEP PRO 4, but does not recognize that I have updated to VEP PRO 5. I've installed and un-installed in every way imaginable. How does one get the VEP PRO 5 license to there slave computer if they started with VEP Pro 4 and updated to 5 before purchasing a streaming / slave computer? Yes I have keys on both computers. I've updated both computers, but I believe the hang up is that my slave computer's elicense control center page shows just VEP Pro 4 and not 5 live my host computer. I've tried to re-register the number (bad mistake) so I'm stuck. Has anyone been through this?

  • To be clear, you do have a VEP 5 license on the slave key (yes)?

  • Hello Dubzee,

    I have checked your registrations.

So far, you have registered 2 serial numbers for VE PRO 4. You have also downloaded those license, one in July 2011, one in July 2012.

So you have 1 serial number for VE PRO 4 left to register (it´s either in your box or on a serial number certificate).

The VE PRO 5 UPGRADE licenses need an existing VE PRO 4 license on the key, otherwise it won´t work.

I have checked the activation codes for your VE PRO 5 licenses as well. So far, you have used 1 activation code.

We have sent these activation codes in a mail right after your purchase on January 5, 2012.

    Best,

    Paul

  • I wrote an email response. There is something missing.

  • I found the codes :) I will try one out after I get some sleep. Sorry I forgot that they were sent to me. I did keep them, but didn't know enough to look. I just had a long gig - sorry I'm a bit fuzzy.
