  • Jazz Drums - Problems with VI5 presets

    hi!

got a little problem with the VI5 presets for the jazz drummer.
when i open them i see all the channels including effects, but the vi instances open "empty" - meaning no patches are loaded. the channel numbers to the right of the channel names are colored in a light red.

i have all the latetest updates to vienna ensemble pro 5, vienna instruments pro and vienna suite installed. i also installed vienna instruments (standard) just in case.

whenever i load the patches by itself there's no problem. i can see all ethe matrices and pateches in the vi pro browser.

    anyone else? any advice?

    thanks.

  • Hello Gernot!

Sorry for the inconviniences. We are aware of this problem with VE Pro and the VIFrames for VI5 and try to find a solution as quick as possible. In the meantime please either use the VIFrames for classic VI or Vienna Ensemble.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • hi andi,

not problem. just trying to figure out wether i've got a problem here or not.

now the only thing i still kannot figure out how to do is get the sequencer in vi pro to play minor chords in the chord matrix using the velocity switch.. whatever i try - it never works.. even if the key is on hit with 100 - 127 velocity i never get a minor chord..

never got a replay concerning this problem either.. is it only not working for me.. through so many versions and even after a complete reinstall of my system/all software?

    clueless with that one.

    thanks again

    g.

  • Hello Gernot!
The Velocity Switch can be used with the scale select keys and not with the keys that trigger the chords. I guess you have mixed them up.

  • .. and that sovles the the ages old mystery of the minor key ;)

i've always been a "reed between the lines" guy rather than what's actually there ;)
you don't know how much that helped.. thanks!
