  • Just another discount question

    Dear VSL team!

Did the discount stucture changed? As far I remember there was always a discount on the standard library for former Downlad Instruments in case you had the corresponding special edition

Now i only see discounts on the Extended Version (and http://www.vsl.co.at/de/211/261/2124/2245/1917.vsl) states the same ...

Taking the philosophy "Don't pay for something twice" i think logically the discount should apply to the Standard Library (As there are things you already have, extended comes without any content doubling)

However business wise i can understand discounting only the extended libs, just looking for clarification here

    Thx

    Gabriel

  • Not only have they changed the discount structure, but these as well as website changes in general,

have left many of us questioning the accuracy of discounts due us.

For example I own the Soprano Choir.

On the discount page the upgrade discount shows Euro 75.

When I go to the big box Vienna Choir page (my) discount is actually 75 US Dollars.

Forgive me, but Euro 75 is about 95 US dollars...

All this after Herb (CEO) himself responded to my original inquiry.

At that ime I think the discount showed 50 US instead of 95.

Atleast they're moving in the right direction.

These days it's a good idea to send an email to sales, verifying any discount pricing... BEFORE you purchase.

    Hi Gabriel,

yes, we've have changed the disounts to Single Download Instruments extended. When we introduced Single Download Instruments only Standard versions have been available, therefor discounts could only be applied to Standard versions. But it was always problematic to upgrade when you already have registered Special Edition and Special Edition PLUS volumes. Not much additional content was offered in any corresponding Single Download Instrument.

That's why we have changed the discount rules exclusively to extended content. It's simply a better "investement experience" to get significantly more additional content compared to the Special Edition content.

    best

    Herb

  • Thanksfor clairfication

However I don't get the Point

    I own the Special Edition

Now i want to upgrade my Flute I pay undiscounted 50€ (I own good part of these Samples already)

And then I pay Discounted 61€ (original 70€) for complete new things

So if i would own Special Edition Plus as well it would be even worse. Receiving almost nothing for 50€ and then receive discounted extended (With completely new content) for only 49€

    Gabriel

P.S.: I should have orderd all Standard Editions at last discount, and now order all extended editions to get double discount *G*
