hi there ! anybody else who noticed this? : if you purchased some of the new vienna instruments SE SECTIONS and want to upgrade at a discount price to the entire SE COLLECTION of that specific sections the website system here shows up more expensive pricing than if you continue to purchase the individual sections one by one. for example: I own the two SE vol.2 sections strings and guitars&keyboards. if I want to purchase the missing two sections SE vol.2 woodwinds and brass price is €105 each... makes €210 altogether... if I choose to take advantage of purchasing these bundle thru the upgrade path the price the website shows as "your price" is €230. any ideas?
this aside I am rather new to the entire vienna thing and have to say: GOOD GOOD GOOD library! overwhelming sounding, very stable and indispensable for every pro tools user who works with virtual instruments. guess I am getting addicted. :-)

upgrading vienna instruments SE sections to collections issue

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your interest in expanding your Special Editions!
It looks like you've discovered one out of dozens of combination possibilities where it's actually cheaper for you to get the missing Sections, rather than upgrading to the complete Volume. So if you want you can of course take advantage of getting the cheaper Sections. [;)]
Best,
Stefan

I've noticed this too--it works like that on multiple levels. My biggest issue with VSL is the pricing structure. I agree with you, though. I'm new to Vienna software as well and it's so good that the libraries that have been out for a decade are competitive with libraries coming out today. It takes that long for "other" people to catch up with Vienna. But again the pricing is sometimes illogical and frustrating. When I bought Special Edition, it was like a month before they revamped it all. I used to get something like nine euros off most standard instrument libraries that are a part of the Special Edition. Not anymore--now I get nine euros off the FULL editions. But that's alright, I'll just plan upgrades intelligently to make sure it's not a bad deal or i'll wait for promotions.

Casiquire, With all the recent website changes, VSL admitts that discount pricing is no longer as accurate as it should be. A product page may say the discount due you is euro 20 when in fact it's euro 60. If you contact sales before purchasing, they can confirm pricing and provide a workaround if needed, so you pay the (CORRECT) price. That's what Stefan did for me.

The change I mentioned doesn't seem to be a website error. The "Upgrade Pricing" page confirms that the discount is only on the extended versions now where it used to be on standard instrument libraries. But if I see any other apparent discrepancy I will surely contact sales. Thank you!
