    Does Sib 6 need a new soundset for VEP5? I have a score that I rendered in VE which works as notated. But played back in VEP5, the strings refuse to play arco even though the notes are slurred and it expicitly says arco.

    Hi thomamd!

    VEP works with the same sound sets as VE.

    It can have different reasons when articulation changes do not work as supposed. Please check the following settings:
    - Which sound set do you use? In your case I recommend the latest version of the "VE Special Edition" sound set, which can be downloaded here:
    http://www.vsl.co.at/en/68/141/460/576/655.htm
    - Did you reserve a channel/program for all your instruments in your score on the Sibelius/Manual Sound Sets page?
    - In VE Pro did you load the matrices that came with the Special Edition for all instruments?
