  • X-fade

From what I have been reading, turning the X-fade is a must to achieve uniform velocities when playing legatos etc...

1-the X-fade can be assigned to a controler

    2- The velocites are 55, 88, 108 and 127

3-The notes played on the keyboard when x-fade is turned on have no effect on the instrument interms of velocity

I hope am correct so far :)

my question is , is it possible to send specific value to the x-fade controler,

for example, assign 4 buttons on my keyboard controler, one to send value 55, another 88, 108, and 127 ?

  • Hi mazeka,

Why would you want to do that? Why not just use key velocity?

  • Hi Paul :)

Well with key vilocity is hard to keep uniform performace , and there is relly no time to adjust the Xfade slider in real time , So have just 4 velocity level is ideal , and this is for live stage use. so I can choose say p , xfade value 55 and swith betwenn matrices for different articulation

  • Hi,

I´m sure that´s possible within the environment of your sequencer. Best to check the manual of the sequencer you´re working with (E.g., Cubase, check Input Transformer, Logic: Environment).

    These are MIDI Tasks.

    Best,

    Paul
