  • Instrument licences, VIP and VEpro

Am concidering to get couple of the mini mac to run different instruments on each on,

From what I understand , I need to buy seperate lecences for each computer, Instrument, VIP and VEP

I think there should a way to use the ethernet via networking to alow multiple computer to be used.

  • VEP and VI both come with multiple licences.

It's not necessary. The big Collections, such as the Cube have more than one licence, so you can split the instruments up anyway. The only one that doesn't is Special Edition, but most computers could run all of this at one time anyway with plenty of CPU to spare.

  • Actaully what am trying to do is have 3 mac cubes, one just for APP, one for Orchestral and one for chambers and one for daw

basically i want all from all intsruments , violins on one mac, violas on another and cellos on the third

  •  Why not just get one proper computer, instead of 3 toys? [;)]

In any case, there are plenty of licences in that selection to share the load. You just can't do it the way you want to (if I'm understanding you conrrectly).

TBH I was only half joking above. The cost of these 3 machines, is more expensive than one machine that can run everything you have mentioned, so it doesn't seem like a good choice to me.

  • DG is correct. One strong computer with multiple fast hard drives is the ticket. If you can afford a Mac Pro buy all means DO IT. If not, the bang for your buck in the PC market is second to none.
