Sibelius soundset for violon solo : problem

Hello,

I'm missing something, perhaps, but the soundset of "Solo Strings" for Sibelius (6.2) does not work for me. Yet I followed the instructions and complete your optimization guide. And all my files are updated.

For example, staccato writings give nothing in playback (they remain "sustain" simply).

A curious thing perhaps: in VSL PRO instrument when I load one of the "VI presets for Strings Sibelius", nothing appears in my extra menu on the right. Should I see a new preset (or matrix?) As the Sibelius or identified in that?

I have seen in our records, that you have registered the Special Editions Volumes 1 and 2 for Strings, as well as the Solo Strings I+II standard. If you want to use the Special Edition, please load the sound set "VE Special Edition" in Sibelius and the Special Edition matrices in Vienna Instruments (Pro). If you want to use the Solo Strings, please use the sound set "VE Strings" and load the presets that came with the sound set (for example "Sib_SS_Violin_L1+II") in VI (Pro).

Please be aware that the Solo Strings will only switch articulations correct, if you have Solo Strings instruments (Violin (solo), Viola (solo), ...) in your Sibelius score. The Ensemble Strings (like Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, ...) will not work.

If I load "Sib_SS_Violin_L1 + II" (under "Presets for Strings Sibelius VI"), for example, no sound comes in, nothing plays. And my list of preset, right (PRESET, MATRIX, PATCH), is not changed. Nothing more, nothing less.

So: I use "VE Strings" as a preset in Sibelius, with added solo violin in my manual configuration. Then, in "Vienna Instruments PRO" top menu on the left, I'll get "Sib_SS_Violin_L1 + II". Nothing.

I use my Solo Strings in Pro-Tools, however, and all is well. And if I use Sibelius with EastWest, so good. I checked my paths with Directory Manager, and everything is beautiful in my opinion.

Can you see if MIDI signals reach Vienna Ensemble? This can be seen on the LED at the very left in the channel list of VE.

Can you hear a sound when you play on the virtual keyboard of the loaded Vienna Instruments?

Or is it just that articulation changes do not work as supposed?

The problem is solved.

I had the feeling that the central problem well explained in my earlier posts. The solution is attached to this problem in my right hand menu PRESET was not marked "preset for Strings Sibelius VI". This morning she was there. The reason: I had an old version of "Pro VI" in my repertoire Sibelius. I have a different directory for VST Sibelius, because Sibelius reads only one VST folder at a time and he goes mad if too many VST. I forgot to update this directory also. That is why the old version of PRO VI plug-in did not read and did not show, therefore, the presets. I did a lot of manipulation to address this problem, but I think that's it. Otherwise, I also updated the House Style, but not App Data folder, as shown for Sibelius 6 and Win7, but in the directory C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Sibelius Software \ Sibelius 6 \ Resources \ en . lproj \ house style. For in Sibelius French or multilanguage, this directory exists in parallel with each other. I do not know which one is good, but I update both. Please Note for the next guide.
