When setting up a score using the VE Strings Soundset and choosing instruments from the add remove instruments page I am only seeing [VSL Orchestral Strings] for Violi I and Violin II. Why isn't there [VSL Orchestral Strings] for the viola, cello and double bass? And if its correct they are not there which instruments for viola, cello and double bass should I be using?

Hello David!
If you have loaded the latest version of the "Vienna Symphonic Library" House Style, the instruments Viola [VSL Orchestral Strings], Violoncello [VSL Orchestral Strings] and Double Bass [VSL Orchestral Strings] are right underneath Violin I and II [VSL Orchestral Strings].
Best regards,
Andi

Hi David!
This is odd. There is no newer version available than the one that's in the Needful Things/Sibelius Sound Sets section of the User Area. The instruments are here. It seems that you mixed up some screenshots as they show other things. Maybe the [VSL Orchestral Strings] instruments appear when you select "Choose from All Instruments".
Best,
Andi

I have not mixed up screenshots here it is again showing the available instruments from "All Instruments"
I'm hoping this is the heart of all my problems and if we can sort this out perhaps all the other problems will go away.

? No it doesn't it shows the strings this is the link http://www.davetubaking.com/resources/VSL1.JPG

Now it shows Strings instruments. It seems to me you are always using the same filenames for different screenshot in different threads. Please keep your filenames unique.
I can see that the [VSL Orchestral Strings] instruments are missing. This is a mystery to me. I'm using the same House Style file and the instruments are here. Could it be that you have deleted the instruments?
Anyway, I recommend downloading the House Style one more time. Copy it to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius 7\House Style

The solution again appears to be to change the instrument ID which was not reacting properly. In the case of the strings this was the third of the four violin parts so I changed the ID to chamber violins made sure the corresponding ID was allocated in the mixer and it now reacts correctly.
Fingers crossed but all instruments now appear to be behaving correctly so I can move on with the project. All fingers and toes crossed.
