Legato layers
Hello.

Hi Vladkin,
Forum language is actually english, so I´ll answer in english, hope you don´t mind.
We are quite happy with the velocity layers for our Performance Legatos (up to 1000 samples in the background of each articulation!!), and in combination with Velocity Xfade you can get great results, as is shown in hundreds of demos in the Demo Zone.
PLUS for very exquisite dynamic changes we have recorded MANY dynamic articulations that can be indefinitely multiplied and adapted with the Enveloped Time-Stretching you find in Vienna Instruments PRO.
Best,
Paul

Hello Vladkin
Maybe you don't know how to use the X-Velocity-function:
Have a look here: http://www.beat-kaufmann.com/vitutorials/vi-tips--tricks-4/index.php (No. 30)
On the right side of the Website you will find a player. Choose the AIR of Bach.
The first Part is played with the Chambers II with not so much X-Velocity.
The second Part (>1:46) has got the Appassionatas in addition and the full potential of X-Velocity.
The whole piece is played in the Matthias Church (INSP:IRs)
Here is another example with X-velocity with the VSL-Choir: palestrina_alma_redemptoris.mp3
Finally:
1. X-velocity isn't linear matter. So sometimes it is a bit tricky to reach the wanted result.
2. X-Velocity works best with ensemble samples because you don't get phasing effects while crossing the layers.
I wish you a lot of success

Hello. I understood all of You wrote me. Articulation is very good, X-Velocity is nice. But what about "slow cantilena legato" and " medium fast cantilena legato" from piano to forte, such as? I think this will sound beautiful four layers. I imagine it like this: sustain (first note) + sustain (second note) and between them legato layer (first - piano or second - forte (with fast X-fade)). Best regards.
