  • Sustain patch only loads sometimes!

Hi dear community members. I LOVE my VSL products, the only problem I have is that when I am working with performance interval samples or even simple sus-patches, quite often the note is not properly sustained, it dies awasy after a couple of seconds. The funny thing is that if I increase the distance between the long note and the ending of the note before it works..! It is a bit frustrating because this happens quite often...has anyone else experienced this? I hope there is some setting that can be changed to overcome his. Thnks in advance for your help!

  •  If a note doesn't sustain, it is usually because that is the length it was recorded., When the gaps between notes are small, often a different sample is triggered from the one when gaps are larger. Please give details of which instrument, and which patches, and then maybe I can check it out for you.

  • The solo violin has an effect like this, although it is do to with the repetition samples,  I have used it to great effect by forcing this effect.

with the solo violin patch VI_sus_Vib-espr the first note (repetitiion 1) , has up bow and down bow, but the second repetition only has up bow, so the second repetition is only half as long as the first repetition.

Initially I found I had notes that seemed to end too soon, until I realised the difference between the repetition samples, but by adding a smallest note length possible just before the note, forces the next repetition to play, as the second repetition is a better sample to end a phrase on.

Though I suppose a better way to do it, would be to create another cell in the matrix and switch the 1st repetition off on that cell.
