  • MIR Pro out of the box

I put these on another thread for musical comments, but thought I would mention these mixes here also for mixing/etc. These are done in MIR Pro with basically no tweaking except for volume levels, using the Vienna Konzerthaus impulses. So if somebody wants to hear what it sounds like, without any mixing expertise applied other than what is already inside it, here you go! All I did on these mixes was place instruments on the stage, and then adjust volume levels. So this is an "out of the box" mix on each of these...

btw, I should mention I had to use an external library for the recorders and the word-singing choir, but that is another thing I like about MIR PRo - just click on the microphone icon, and suddenly you've got any external sound right there on stage with your Vienna instruments!

  • William,

Very impressive stuff!  Very evocative and beautifully executed.  I recently bought MIR and have had a wee bit of trouble with the VE Pro part of it, so I have not been able to use it yet on any of my projects, but I hope to.  MIR is the best sounding impulse reverb I have ever heard.

    Thanks for sharing this stuff!

  •  thanks Michael.  I agree it is the best reverb, sound placement, the whole environment for the samples. Also besides these, the thing I really like is the design being intuitive for musicians, using concert hall, instruments, instrument character like "bite" or "distant"  etc.
