    When I open up Native Instruments Studio Drummer in a Kontakt 5 Instance in VEP Pro 5, the settings- and Fx Knobs on the Mixer Page of Studio Drummer don´t work. So I have no chance of individual routing or change of FX settings.

    When try the same thing in logic: No problem!

    Which OS, which version of VE PRO, which version of Kontakt 5 / Studio Drummer?

    Hey Paul!

    OSX 10.6.8 and latest Version of VEP Pro 5 (downloaded today).

    Kontakt 5.0.2 Studio Drummer 1.1

    It seems to be a gui problem, maybe that Vep coulndn´t handle the tab structure. Cause it´s the same issue with expert mode knob in LASS or similar custom knobs of other libs.

    Any solutions at hand?

    Okay, I guess I have found the solution for the problem. The Server interface has to be connected. I didn´t, cause I wanted to build up a template in VEP first and then connect it with logic.

    Now the tabs seem to work properly.

    Can anybody confirm this?

    This is a technical design error in Kontakt in that it relies on a running audio callback for regular GUI functionality.

    Sorry, but I still think that is the problem VE PRO latest version. In the previous version VE PRO everything was fine. Also all right in Kontakt 5 (5.0.2), so NI will not fix anything.. :)

    update!

    This graphical bug happens only when the VE PRO is not connected to the host (first start). If server already connected to the host, and only then load the instance with a Kontakt - all right! (but it is anyway happens only in the latest version of the VE..)

    Just wanted to say thanks for your input in this thread - I had the exact same issue with Studio Drummer. I was wondering why Studio Drummer's mixer page wouldn't respond in VE Pro, but once I connected to Pro Tools, everything was working fine again!
