  • Moving Samples to a new system

I am completely upgrading my computer system so that I can run MIR and generally just have a far better machine.  I have roughly 500GB of samples which I will want to copy to the new machine sample drive.  I know old samples (i.g. .gig files) can just be copied, but what about .vsts?  Can I copy the libraries and just install the VI interface?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  •  As long as you are talking about VSL samples:

    1. Copy the samples
    2. Install the latest version of all VSL software
    3. Copy any Presets and matrices over to the new Custom data folder
    4. Run Directory Manager
    5. Set Prefs IN VE Pro

You should now be good to go.
