What does red mean?

I opened a VE Pro Standalone file and noted that all the cells of each matrix were red rather than blue in color. No sound played back. What happened?

I'd be most appreciative of any insight. Thanks

Hello Steve, 

That means that the corresponding articulations are not available (either no valid license or the samples cannot be found). 

Please open the Directory Manager, remove all folder and add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.
