Hi Steven,
actually MIR (and thus MIR Pro) was meant to be used as the final mixing stage for a virtual orchestra - in the sense that _all_ signals can find their place on one virtual stage, inside _one_ virtual hall (a.k.a "Venue", in MIR-lingo). That's why MIR and MIR Pro were single-licence products from the very beginning.
With the integration of MIR Pro into VE Pro 5 we have seen that a few users with very elaborated setups want to have MIR Pro on several seperate machines. Although this is
actually
against MIR's initial idea of simplifying and streamlining things, VSL has decided to extend the concept of legacy MIR's stripped-down "SE"-version to a significantly cheaper Pro version that comes with all features, but a limited number of available inputs, to make it useable as an additional licence on a slave machine, too.
Details will be announced as soon as the product is ready for release. :-)
Thanks for your interest & kind regards,
