  • [SOLVED] VEP 5 Sees only 4 cores and I am running dell poweredge 2950 with an 8 core 64-bit win...

Hi guys, I am running Dell PowerEdge 8 Core server (2 x Quad Core Processors Xeon) and once I open VEP 5 64 bit I only see 4 cores in options not 8. Any ideas how I can make it see all 8? Also not sure how RAM play a role in VEP as a Server? How do you know if more RAM makes a difference? Thanks

  • Hello Nemanja,

I´m not a PC specialist and don´t know why VE PRO 5 only sees 4 cores, could have something to do with the architecture of the CPU, I guess.

Regarding RAM: The more RAM you have, the more samples you can load in a 64 bit VE PRO Server....

    Best,

    Paul
