Sibelius 7 in master mac and VEP4 in slave pc (bad sound quality)

Hi,

I'm new to all this master slave issue, but I was able to successfully get some audio back from VEP4 over Lan (from a slave PC with win7 64bits) to sibelius 7 (running in a macbook pro with snow leopard). The problem is that the audio that is coming back is distorted and not fluid. I changed the settings for two buffers but there was no change. I'm not using a crossover cable (should I ?).

I'm using the following settings for the network

IP Master 192.168.1.5

IP Slave   192.168.1.4

Mask: 255.255.255.0

Any ideas of what can the problem be? or where can I find a step by step - set your network for VEP over LAN (for dummies)?

Thank you so much Cyril .....that helped....I had also my wierless network on, and as soon as I put it off, the problem was gone.
