Is it possible to have your slave computer hooked up to your host using both ethernet ports? I am streaming some string samples that have a very high voice count and trying to stream into Pro tools on another machine, but the RTAS version of VEP is not nearly as effective as VST, and it can't handle the amount of voices I am sending. (Before you say anything about SSD's and hard disk streaming...It's not that. I have done several tests sending out via ADAT and the problem goes away).I am thinking if I split the samples out - half on one ethernet port, and half out of the other - and have two instances in Pro Tools for strings this might help. My second question is...since ultimately it's all streaming through the same ethernet card, would this even improve the streaming, or just pipe data in on two ports that ultimately are sharing the capability of my ethernet card? Thoughts? Anyone already doing this? Thanks...
