  • VE Pro not disconnecting when closing Logic Project

Used to work fine. Now when I close Logic project, all the (Local, 64bit) VE instances stay connected. And when I open another project, VE pro loads new empty instances and obviously the old "correct" ones aren´t available.

Happens every time now, and doesn´t matter if I have decouple enabled or not. Switching between projects is now completely impossible.

Any ideas? I have latest version of VEpro4.

EDIT: updated to V5. No difference. Maybe this is logic-related problem, don´t know. VEpro seems to disconnect when I quit logic pro, but not when I close the logic project.

  • This is unfortunately how Logic works. It won't actually close a project until quitting or opening a new project.

  • Really?? A "close project" in file menu doesn´t actually close project?

However, I´m pretty sure this used to work fine before... So you are saying this is normal behavior that when I close logic project, all the VEpro instances stay connected to project that I just "closed"? And other logic projects cannot connect to those instances unless I disconnect and connect manually or quit logic pro? It definitely wasn´t like that before.

  • It has always been like that unfortunately. It's standard Logic behavior. Don't ask me why :)

  • why? :)

well thanks for helping. I quess I´ll have to find some kind of workaround for this then...
