Part 1: I'm working on a project, and I'd like to mix and match VSL and LASS string sounds, and use MIR and/or Vienna Suite to make the VSL strings sound as if they are in the same room with the LASS strings. Then I may add a reverb to the whole lot.
Part 2: There will be some divisi writing, and I am going to try to mix and match VSL solo, chamber, orchestral and appassionata to try to keep the "string count" right. My initial experience is that the recorded sound of these products doesn't sound the same. I hope to address that as best I can with the placement settings in MIR, and then with Vienna Suite EQ selectively applied where needed.
Any suggestions as to how to accomplish either or both of these concepts?
Many Thanks!
Steve
