    I have the Orchestral Strings 1 and 2.

    The portamento 1B and 2B of Violins orchestra/VI-14 VSL Preset Level 1 don't output any sound at all.

    1B and 2B  work fine with the Violas orchestra, etc...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

     I'm not sure which sound you mean here, as I cannot find anything called Portamento 1B or Portamento 2B, unless this originally belonged to the Special Edition. Perhaps you could state exactly the location of this sound. I assume it is a cell within a matrix? So perhaps you could mention which matrix and which cell.

    The only portamento sound I can see in VI-14 VSL Preset Level 1 , is in matrix 1, bottom left cell which is 04 VI-14_perf-portamento.  Where are you finding Portamento 1B and Portamento 2B?

    The portamento articulation in VI-14 VSL Preset Level 1 is accessed on MIDI note C2 (L1 VI-14 Perf-Legato Steed + porta)

    The Control Edit Location window allows you to select 1B (03 VI-14_perf-portamento) (Selected via MIDI Mod)

    Here is a screen cap showing 1B selected (which results in no sound output with Violins, but works fine for Violas, etc...)

    The portamento on the next preset in 21Violins orchestra, VI-14 VSL Preset Level 2, IS working though. So I guess I'll just have to use that one exclusively.

    Would be nice if someone from VSL can chime in at some point with a fix for Violins orchestra/VI-14 VSL Preset Level 1. :)

    Thanks for reporting.

    There is a patch name missmatch in the Preset "VI-14 VSL Preset Level" preset.

    The patch placed in cell 1B of this preset does have an uncorrect patchname, and this patch does not exist,

    the wrong name is:

    "03 VI-14:per-portamento"

    the correct label would be

    "04 VI-14:per-portamento"

    For a quick fix you can replace the faulty patch of this preset, finding the correct patch here in this folder of your patch browser:

     A - String patches / 21 Violins orchestra / 04 VI-14_perf-portamento

    Just drag this patch over the patch in Cell 1B and save the Preset as a custom preset.

    We'll also fix this Preset bug with an upcoming Library Update.
