  • Sibelius / Cubase another way to rewire !!

     Hello everybody,

I was thinking maybe someone can jump in to give me some suggestions; I have MIR pro and Sibelius (7) and want to route the sound to Cubase . I know that I can use rewire (1.7) but unfortunatelly Cubase (6) must be in 32 bit mode, fact that cuts a lot of memory, I heard about loopbe30 but don't know anything about it. If someone has some experience in setting this things to work both in 64 bit. please give me some hints !!

     Thank you very much,

    Bogdan

  • Hi Bogdan!

I think Rewire is still the best option to synchronize Sibelius with Cubase. Regardless if you run Cubase and/or Sibelius in 32-bit mode, you can still start Vienna Ensemble Service or Vienna Ensemble Pro Server in 64-bit mode. Btw. The Cubase team is already working on a 64-bit version of Rewire, so they say.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hi Andi,

Thank you so much in taking the time to respond to my question. You're totally right about the Ve pro 5 and its capability of 64 :) …I wasn't sure if that is possible:)
and by the way,do you know if  there is a chance in windows to switch cubase from 64 in 32 ? I know mac has but I'm afraid I had to reinstall cubase in 32 …or not?
      Thanks in advance !!
        Bogdan

  • Hi Bogdan!

As far as I know, you have to reinstall it. I could be wrong though.

    Best,
    Andi
