  • Great job VSL

I just received my VSL library last week and have be auditioning the sounds ...the library is astounding.

I was wondeering if there will be any gigs in the future that would use key switching or mod wheel to switch between Timp. single hits and rolls so that timp. parts could be played in real time. The same would be nice for all applicable mallot instruments ie. xylophone etc. Also is there a way to get the choked version of a cymbal to cut off its corresponding sustained sound.

Again, great job on the library!

    all the best

  • Scott,

I don't know Gigasampler (I assume you have that version) but most samplers allow for "groups" and the so-called "hi-hat" mode.

In EXS24 for example, you assign samples to a group and limit the polyphony to 1 - in so doing, a closed hi-hat would choke a previously played open one.

Maybe some Gigagurus could step in here......

    Regards - Colin

PS - Herb, would you consider including this kind of feature in your EXS24 programming?
