  • Need advice to bypass this little annoying problem (for me)

     Hello,

Since Iuse the new VI Pro with the new great function "unable or disable some cells", I found a problem when I edit the pitch of a note via my keyboard computer using the "up and Down" key in the sequencer editor..Often I don't hear any sound beacause a cell is empty.

My sequencer is with a "chase events on"

The problem comes from cubase but perhaps somebody can give me some advice

I wriote this to Steinberg forum

Annoying problem with Chase in key editor

    Hello,
Difficult to explain but I'll try:
I use VSl with the system of horizontal and vertical matrix. Horizontal with keyswtich and vertical with Controller.
In the preference of Cubase I have the "chase events" on.
Problem only in the key editor not in the score editor.
Problem When I edit a note of music in the key editor with the "up or down" on the computer keyboard to change the pitch : cubase send the data like this :
    Controller (reset to zero)
    Note On with values
Controller (set to the value of the chase)
    Note off with values.

No problem with score editor: because Cubase send data in a differente order:
    Note On with values
    Controller (reset to zero)
Controller (set to the value of the chase)
    Note off with values

So if the cell of the first line is empty , every time I use the up and down key, the controller is reset to 0 and the first line of the matrix is play, so if the cell is empty  I don't hear a sound,so difficult to edit by ear.
WHY CUBASE DO SEND DATA IN DIFERRENT ORDER IN KEY EDITOR AND SCORE EDITOR?
    Best regards
    Dup
