  • cannot use library after reinstall

I had my vsl special edition installed and working on my Mac, but after reinstalling Mac OS X I can't get it to work.
I kept the Vienna Key in the USB port and installed eLicenser Control Center and my license of Special Edition is listed but I don't know if it is properly licensed because on top it stands:
    All applications
    Demo, Remaining Starts: 83
I tried to enter my activation code but I get the message "The activation code has been used already."
I've installed Vienna Instruments but when I start it I get the message
    eLicenser Control - Error
Application 'VSL' has caused the following error:
Unknown Exception caught. Process execution failed.
And when I click OK I get this message:
    Cannot initialize eLicenser.
Either eLicenser Control Center is not installed, or an appropriate software dongle is not inserted.

    Hello Agamemnon,

    Welcome to our forum!

Sorry to hear of this problem. Please try to update your eLicenser Control Center and Vienna Instruments software. After a restart, everything should work again. Note that the ViennaKey with the license for the Special Edition Standard Library (which can only be downloaded once to your key) has of course be connected to your computer. Please avoid USB hubs, especially unpowered ones, as they can cause problems.

If the problem persists, please contact us with as many details as possible (Which version of Mac OS X? Which key are you using - key number? Is the red light illuminating on the key? Screenshots also always help) at .

    Best,

    Stefan
