    I first downloaded VE Pro 5/MIR PRo on Thursday, 11/24/2011. I found that when using audio inputs in MIR, I had a lot of latency, more than Protools would correct for. (both running on same machine)

    I just downloaded more recent update today, 11/26/2011, and now the latency sounds okay - must be reduced to be in the range of what Protools can correct for.

    By the way, it is weird to have two different list serves for VE Pro and MIR Pro now that they're combined.

    Large Vienna Library all on SSD, Protools/Carbon on M1 MacBook Pro, OSX Monterey 12.7, Steinway D, Rhodes Mk8-FX, Osmose, Moog One, Trigon 6-DT, OB-X8, Prophet 10 rev4, OB-6-DT, Kawai VPC-1

    At a first glance you're right. But please keep in mind that there will be many VE Pro users without MIR Pro license. Apart from that, MIR and MIR Pro are based on a concept of their own, with its own peculiarities that don't have necessarily anything in common with VE Pre per se (topics liek RoomPacks, Instrument Profiles, Main Microphone output formats come to mind, and so on).
