    Hello, I'm new to software orchestration and am researching different programs before I buy one. Vienna Symphonic Library looks nice but I don't know if you absolutely need a slave computer in order for it to run because on the demo all that shows up is the "Connection to slave host" and I don't have a slave computer, all I want is the Epic Orchestra package. Please be nice I know I sound like an idiot but you have to start somewhere. Thanks!

    No slaves needed. In fact running from one computer will give you the lowest latency, so you will have all the advantages of using VEP and none of the disadvantages of using slave computers. Obviously, how much you can run will depend on how powerful your PC is.
