  • SE Reinstallation question

I am running a second slave with VSL SE and several extended libraries but when copying the instruments onto a new drive and relinking, the matrix folder and presets don't show up. I've tried deleting and relinking etc etc and I have the latest eLicenser and Vienna Instruments installed. I would really like to avoid reinstalling all the instruments from scratch  - am I missing something here?

    Hello flashman,

Here´s the usual routine when installing a VI Collection on a new computer:

On your new computer, please make sure that you are using the latest eLCC and the latest VSL software.

Also, please connect your ViennaKey with your licenses.

If you have your sample content still available, simply copy it to your new computer. Then open the Directory Manager and drag this folder onto it. Here is a video on how to use the Directory Manager.

If you DON`T have the sample content available anymore, please insert DVD#1 of your collection, then launch the Library Installer and follow the instructions for installation.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Yes done all that and the presets stubbornly refuse to appear. My custom folder presets come up but not the matrix files or and the sample data doesn't load so although the SE libraries and all the plus libraries come up in the directory manager the matrix files don't.

  • Hi flashman,

This could indicate that your SE libraries are damaged.... Did you try to re-install them?

    Best,

    Paul
