  • Sibelius 7>rewire>Cubase 6

Hi guys, while I'm waiting for my extra eLicencer to show up so I can set everything up, I've been trying to get Silelius 7 to work with Cubase 6.

I remember, long time ago, I had been able to set up Fruity Loops in Cubase, it would open my FL project (drums only) and everything else would be in Cubase. What I want to do is have my VSL stuff in Sibelius (which I'm not familiar with yet, just bought it, Sibelius) and have all my other stuff, rock and other samples, right in Cubase.

But based on the only instructions I've seen (http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcenter/chat/chat.pl?com=thread&start=442863&groupid=3&&guest=1#442863) I'm not getting Cubase to see Sibelius or vice versa. I'm a total newb at this so I'd appreciate any help:)

    Merci:)

    Shawn

  • Sort of found the answer through research/trial-error. First, it seems you need to update to the newest Rewire available for download. Second, you need to run Cubase 6 in 32 bit mode. after those two changes, rewire showed up as Sibelius 7. I've not done any testing, but at least they hook up together:)

Since all I will be running on the Mac is Sibelius and Cubase, with probably my Vienna Suite through Cubase so that I can affect all instruments similarly (all samples etc. are on slave PCs), hopefully running Cubase in 32 bit won't be a problem, with the 8GB ram I have available.
