  • Trying to get my eq plug recognixed by VE Pro

So, I discovered today for the first time :eyeroll: that you can insert fx in a VE Pro instrument. However, I can not get VE Pro to see my Sonalksis EQ dll file. It see the Kontakt dll, but not the Son. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Jeff,

a bit of information would be needed to offer meaningful support ... OS, system setup, software versions, etc. ... ;-)

    Kind regards,

    1. Are you trying to insert a 32bit plug into a 64bit VE Pro instance or vice versa?
    2. Have you set the correct path for your FX in the VE Pro Preferences?

  • Hey Deitz - yeah, sorry. Slave is a Vista Ult 64-bit OS, with 64-bit VE Pro, latest vers.

    Hey DG

    2. Have you set the correct path for your FX in the VE Pro Preferences?

    Yes

    1. Are you trying to insert a 32bit plug into a 64bit VE Pro instance or vice versa?

In fact, the eq is a 32-bit plug, and I am indeed using a  64bit VE Pro instance. Is this not going to work? Any workaround, or do I have to have a 64-bit plug?

    Thanks guys!

  •  You can't use a 32bit plug in a 64bit instance of VE Pro. The solutions are:

    1. Use a more up-to-date EQ that is 64bit
    2. Use J-Bridge for the EQ.

  • Thanks again for the reply.

Can I jbridge the plug to the VE Pro instance on my slave? Do it as I did with Cubase - have VE Pro scan the folder where the jBridge (and eq) .dll reside,a nd VE Pro will see that?

    --edit--

Ok, yep - that is exaclty  how it is done. Thanks so much! :)
