  • VI new versions?

Hi, I was wondering if there is any new version in schedule for Vienna Instruments (simple version). I understand that all big features will, of course, be reserved for VI PRO, but I believe something could be inherited by VI. The interface, for instance, is a bit out of place with the interfaces of VI PRO and even VE.

But, what I would really like to suggest is the implementation of some sort of batch editing. Yesterday I had to transpose cell by cell of a 72 cell matrix, I believe there should be an option for transposing all cells by the same amount (have I missed this option?). Also, for the same task, I had to reduce each octave by -1 and increase the semitones by +10, in order to get a -2 transposition, I believe this could be made easier as well.

Another task that I find cumbersome is creating new matrices for new instruments from scratch, even tho, I plan to use almost the exactly same patch for the same cells. Couldn't be a option to swap instruments, and the software replace the patches for the new instrument, while trying to match the patch identification code? This way I could swap two instruments and all patches that share the same ID would be swapped accordingly and the others that don't share would be emtpied or swapped by the closest available ID.

  • +!. It takes me hours-- nay, days-- to set up my own matrices because I have to do the same, repetitive tasks over and over again.

  • Insisting on this topic a bit. Is there any easier way of doing the transposition I mentioned (-2 semitones)? I discovered I will have to repeat the process two more times, and really don't want to edit 72 cells by hand again. Thanks in advance.
